How We give Back

We are very Proud to announce that we have partnered with One Tree Planted.

We are deeply rooted in nature and care immensely about our planet. Creating a business that gives back to nature was part of the plan from the beginning. That’s why we’re so thrilled to share that we’re partnering with One Tree Planted.

Trees provide and clean our air and water; create habitats for biodiversity, contribute to our health and well being and create jobs for social impact.

We’re honored to have reforestation through One Tree Planted as an integral part of our business model.

For every order placed from our website, Cassia Organics will plant one tree. It's that simple. Together we will plant a Grove and so much more!

Not only Nature but also Spirit

The Celtic tree calendar, also called the Beth-Luis-Nion Calendar, is a modern calendar based on theoretical interpretations of the Ogham alphabet. While there is no evidence of ancient Celts or Druids using a calendar, it has become a valuable spiritual and magical tool for some modern Pagans who identify with the ancient Celtic traditions.

Sacred trees and groves hold a particular role in Germanic Paganism & mythology. The central role of trees in Germanic religion is noted in the earliest written reports by the Roman historian Tacitus. He wrote that Germanic esoteric practices took place exclusively in groves, not temples. Scholars consider that reverence for, and rites performed at individual trees are derived from the mythological role of the world tree Yggdrasil. Some historical evidence also connects individual deities to both groves and individual trees.

The mysterious art of shinrin-yoku

Forest bathing is the Japanese practice of bathing your senses in the forest, to connect with the trees and clear your mind, much like a walking meditation. Just imagine...the ancient forest is endless, spacious and diverse with a canopy marked by oak, cedar, hemlock and pine. Enough light shimmers through its crowns for a medley of flowers, herbs and mushrooms to grow among the brittle leaves. A background of wild sounds caused by little critter's echoes in the air backed by the trickling sound of a gentle stream….

This is shinrin-yoku - shinrin in Japanese means “forest,” and yoku means “bath.” Bathing in the forest atmosphere is taking in the forest through the senses. It gives us a sense of comfort.

Unlocking the power of the forest is in using the senses. Listen to the birds singing and the breeze rustling in the leaves of the trees.

Look at the various textures and colors of the trees and the sunlight filtering through the branches.

Smell the musky damp ground of the forest; breathe in the natural aroma of leaves and wet ferns. Breathe deeply and taste the freshness of life. Touch and feel the trees, drink the flavor of the forest and release your sense of joy and calm. You are in a new state of mind, you have connected with nature. You have traveled the bridge to joy and happiness.

Our Website is also going through some transformations - it was going to be a big "to-do" launch, but under current circumstances with all the Corona Virus issues, this seemed inappropriate. So just check back often, you will start to see many new listings start to appear. There are 12 new and amazing soaps, at least 3 new lotions & body oils and some great new herb ideas & teas. We will also add some delightful candles to the mix...stay tuned!

Let's start growing this grove!

as always,

Much Love

Birgit
